We have outlined the detailed procedure for searching a corporation in the Oklahoma SOS database. Read on for a better understanding:
Step 1. Visit the Oklahoma Secretary of State’s website to go to the search page for finding a corporate entity registered with the Oklahoma Secretary of State. The search page looks like the screenshot below.
Step 2. Enter the name you would like to use in the “Entity Name” field. In this example, we will search for “KittyKat”. As you can see in the screenshot below, there is already an LLC registered as KittyKat, LLC.
When searching names, be sure to check that the status is “In Existence”. This means the business is active and in good standing with the state. Inactive or expired listings may be available to register.
